About Friends of Worthing Hospitals

About Us

The Friends of Worthing Hospitals are a long established Registered Charity, formed in 1949 working for the benefit of patients, relatives and staff in the Worthing Hospitals. We provide High Tech medical equipment and non-medical items such as re-furbishing wards and departments to enhance the patients’ care, comfort and stay in our local health care hospitals which due to the current financial restraints cannot be provided by the National Health Service. Our funding is mainly from bequests, donations, our shop/ cafeteria, members’ subscriptions and fund raising. The Trustees conduct the administration of the Charity. Our shop staff and volunteers provide the ‘hands on’ support to run our successful shop and cafeteria in Worthing Hospital.
